Julie was invited to attend the ‘My Place in Stockport’ Awards*, as a guest of Malcolm Adams of BEA Systems. This is where citizens throughout Stockport are recognised for their extraordinary achievements, hard work and accomplishments.

He is Chairperson of the Stockport Economic Alliance (SEA), who sponsored the ‘Community-Spirited Business’ award, which was won by Marple Business Forum. Julie is also a member of the SEA, as she is President of the Stockport Local Chamber Council (LCC).

We would like to congratulate David Hopkins, Chairman and Director of ADS Worldwide, for winning the ‘Ambassador for Stockport’ award. He is a past President of the LCC, a key member of the Stockport business community and trusted friend and colleague of Julie’s.

*In August 2007, Stockport Council and its partners launched the biggest-ever boost to make Stockport smarter and safer. The campaign is called ‘Stockport Community Pride’ and aims to encourage even more civic pride and community spirit through the borough.

The ‘My Place in Stockport’ citizen awards is part of the ‘Stockport Community Pride’ programme.
