Julie Finch becomes President of Stockport Local Chamber Council

Stockport Welcomes New Chamber President
Cheadle Hulme businesswoman Julie Finch, Managing Director of Axon Birch, has taken over as president of Stockport Local Chamber Council.
Julie replaces David Hopkins OBE, Chairman of ADS Worldwide, who has served as president for the past two years.
She said: “It is an honour and a privilege to take over as president. I am passionate about being the voice of local businesses. One of the key objectives for my term of office is to ensure that issues raised by Stockport members are taken up by Greater Manchester Chamber as a whole.
“I want to build on the Chamber’s relationship with Stockport Council and Stockport College. I also want to encourage members to benefit from their membership and increase the number of members we have.”
Julie is Managing Director of software development company AxonBirch. The Cheadle Hulme-based firm specialises in providing databases, bespoke web applications and e-commerce solutions to small and medium-sized businesses.
Julie’s greatest passion in her life is her two teenage children. In her free time she enjoys hill walking, especially in the Lake District and Snowdonia.
She also enjoys spending time with family and close friends, sharing good food and wine.
She was appointed president during the Chamber’s annual Stockport Business Lunch at Bredbury Hall Hotel. The event was attended by the Mayor of Stockport June Somekh and Mayoress Celia Ashton.
